The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reports that there is no shortage of electricity, and two power units are currently in reserve. However, there is damage to networks in Kharkiv as a result of a night enemy attack, which affected the supply of electricity.

What are the consequences of the Russian army's attack

As the ministry clarified, the generation is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers. Commercial import of electricity is also planned. In reserve is the unit and case of the thermal power station, which will be connected to the network if necessary.

The system is balanced. Shutdown schedules do not apply, the message states.

Currently, the import of electricity is forecast to be 4,481 MWh, and no export is expected.

Kharkiv's infrastructure suffered the most

Almost 11,000 consumers in Kharkiv are without electricity. The equipment of the electricity distribution system operator was damaged, including transformer substations, a distribution point, and cable lines.

The gas pipeline was also damaged. To stabilize the pressure, a part of the gas pipeline was blocked. Twelve houses are disconnected from the gas supply. There are no dead or injured workers.

Currently, all responsible services are working to repair the damage.
