The total expected cost is almost UAH 3 billion (without VAT). The delivery date is until May 31, 2024.

Procurement will take place through the application of a framework agreement. The MOD statement says this will allow competitive procurement of the necessary goods without disclosing sensitive information to the public.

The announcements were published in Prozorro on March 4. It is planned to purchase: DJI Mavic 3E type UAV — 15,000 units. The expected cost is UAH 2 billion 550,000 (without VAT); BpAK type DJI Mavic 3 Thermal — 5000 units. The expected price is UAH 989 million (excluding VAT).

The expected cost was calculated by deriving the average price based on the received commercial offers, the press service of the Ministry of Defence clarified.

The number of Ukrainian weapons at the front has increased

There are significantly more domestically produced new weapons samples than in January-February last year. The Ministry of Defense noted that work on modernising weapons in Ukraine is ongoing.

The MOD press service reported this.

In particular, the production of new types of weapons began — self-propelled artillery systems "Bohdan", EW systems, drones and small arms.

We are doing everything possible so that over time Ukraine is as self-sufficient as possible in providing the Defence Forces with the necessary weapons. At the same time, I emphasize that at the stage of accelerating the development of domestic "defense", the support of our partners, financial and technological investments are extremely important. It is important for us to create joint production of weapons, conclude long-term contracts in the format of international consortia, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.

The Ministry of Defenсe adds that the codification (it is the admission of a sample of weapons and military equipment of domestic production to operation with the assignment of a NATO nomenclature number) allows it to be purchased from manufacturers for units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine with funds from the state budget.
