It is noted that on the prime minister's agenda is the discussion of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Slovakia and the support of European initiatives.
What preceded it
On January 18, Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine would meet with Slovakia's Prime Minister Fico to persuade him to unblock EU funds for the Ukraine Facility project.
Earlier, the European Commission proposed to allocate 50 billion euros to Ukraine for 2024-2027. The leaders of the EU countries considered this initiative at the summit on December 14-15. But Hungary promised a solution.
The issue of aid to Ukraine will be discussed at the EU summit on February 1. However, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban says he will block the problem.
Later, it was reported that Fico would meet in Uzhhorod with the Ukrainian prime minister to declare he was against Ukraine's membership in NATO.
