Will Russia involve Belarus in the war

Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, said on the air of the telethon:

Putin uses the Belarusian factor to distract Ukrainian forces, reserves, to create some additional points of tension, but in fact, Putin did not succeed in directly involving the Belarusian army in an aggressive war, a war of aggression against Ukraine, in ground operations. And now there is no such information.

Yusov noted that the situation is being tracked, monitored and studied.

The situation in Belarus

On January 15, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced that the Belarusian military will undergo training on the territory of Russia.

During the exercises, they plan to emphasize the experience gained by Russian troops during the war against Ukraine.

Belarus is also going to prescribe in the new military doctrine the use of nuclear weapons, which were transferred to it by Russia.

The Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, Alexander Volfovich, stated that the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus was allegedly aimed at deterring aggression from Poland, which is a member of NATO.
