What is known about large-scale drone attack on Russia

On the night of 29-30 December, the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine launched a powerful attack on military facilities in Russia. In total, more than 70 drones of various types were used in the attack, the publication's interlocutors from the Ukrainian special services said.

According to them, most of explosions were in Bryansk, where a UAV assault group attacked the SILICON EL plant, which is one of the largest manufacturers of electronics for Russian military equipment.

In particular, this plant produces electronics for Russia's long-range precision-guided missiles and Pantsyr anti-aircraft missile systems.

In addition, explosions occurred at a number of military facilities in Belgorod, Tula, Tver and Moscow.

Russian air defence managed to shoot down a certain number of Ukrainian drones, but most of them hit their targets. Unlike the Russian terrorist attacks on the territory of Ukraine, the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine carried out strikes exclusively on enemy military targets, the publication's sources in the special services said.

What they say in Russia

According to the Ministry of Defence of the aggressor country, on the night of 30 December, 32 unmarked drones were spotted over the territory of Russia.

The drones were spotted over the territories of four regions: Bryansk, Orel, Kursk and Moscow.

Traditionally, the Russian Ministry of Defence accused Ukraine of these attacks.

The Russian occupiers claim that the drones were launched to attack targets on Russian territory.
