Ukrainian defenders in the Bakhmut region of Donetsk region, in one of the most difficult areas of the front, told Reuters journalists about their intention to fight until the victorious end.

What is known about the morale of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Bakhmut area

As the journalists of the publication note, some of the Ukrainian military explain that they do not plan to stop participating in hostilities until the war's end, even if the Ukrainian authorities can adopt the rules for the rotation.

The authors of the material note that the draft law on the mechanism for the rotation of Ukrainian military personnel on the front line is currently "stuck" in the parliament.

However, one of the proposed changes allows the discharge of soldiers who have been fighting for three years.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the military offers to mobilise another 450-500 conscripts.

The authors of the material note that Zelenskyi's relatives and friends of the military, who have been on the front lines for a long time, demand that the rotation be carried out.

However, according to the fighters of the surveillance and combat UAV units near Bakhmut, it is strongly advised not to count on it.

Thirty-six months is a massive chunk of life, but what can you do? "You have to fight the enemy," says the 51-year-old drone operator with the call sign "Mak".

A fighter of the 92nd Separate Airborne Assault Brigade said that he cannot imagine demobilising and living a civilian life while the war continues.

I will stay until we win, — emphasizes the military man.

In turn, battalion commander Yurii Fedorenko stated that more troops are needed for all assault units to withdraw to positions further from the front to recover and replace them with new units. But he also questions the idea of being released after three years.

Let's not fool each other, it won't happen. If we let go of these people, experienced officers, sergeants, soldiers, people capable of carrying out combat tasks, then nobody will fight, Fedorenko explained.
