Ukrainian troops have achieved confirmed success in Krynky

Positional battles continued in the west of the Zaporizhzhia region on February 9, but there were no confirmed changes on the front.

Ukrainian and Russian sources reported on the positional battles:

  • near Robotyne;

  • to the west of Verbove (to the east of Robotyne);

  • to the west of Novopokrovka (to the northeast of Robotyne);

  • near Novoprokopivka (south of Robotyne).

A video with geolocation, published on February 8, shows that Ukrainian troops have recently achieved some success in Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region.

It is reported that positional battles continued on the eastern bank of the Kherson region on February 9.

What limits the advance of the Russian army on the left bank of the Dnipro

On January 16, 2024, a representative of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine noted that logistical and technical supply on the left bank of the Dnipro encountered difficulties.

Russia's Dnipro Grouping has been unsuccessful in all its attempts to dislodge the Ukrainian defenders, despite almost certainly having a significant balance of power advantage on this axis. It is likely that the weak preparation and coordination of the actions of the Russian troops in this area limits their offensive capabilities, — British intelligence said.

The military noted that forcing Ukraine to withdraw its forces from the left bank of the Dnieper remains a priority operational task for Russia.

It is likely that Russia will continue its attacks in the Krynky region in the coming weeks, despite the growing losses in personnel, the report said.
