On 26 December, the Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed the Russian Black Sea Fleet ship Novocherkassk in the port of Feodosia. The ship was carrying Shahed drones, which the Russian army uses to attack Ukrainian cities, according to the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security (CSCIC) of Ukraine.
The CSCIC provided details of the defeat of Novocherkassk
According to the centre, on the eve of the full-scale invasion, Russia deployed six additional guided-missile submarines from the Northern and Baltic Fleets to the Black Sea, increasing the number of ships of this class to 13.
Today, the enemy's military equipment is used for logistical purposes: transferring personnel, military equipment and ammunition between Russian ports and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the centre explained.
The Ukrainian Defence Forces inflicted heavy losses on Russian landing craft. The ships Saratov, Caesar Kunikov (Black Sea Fleet), Olenegorskiy Gornyak (Northern Fleet) and Minsk (Baltic Fleet) were destroyed or damaged.
