Ukrainian hackers from the Blackjack group carried out a successful cyberattack on a Russian state enterprise and stole information about hundreds of military facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation.

What is known about the large-scale cyber operation of Ukrainian hackers

According to representatives of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, hackers stole secret information about 500 military facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian cyber warriors downloaded more than 1.2 TB of data of the "Main Military Construction Directorate for Special Objects". These are more than 500 passports of military facilities of the Russian MOD: weapons arsenals, anti-aircraft warfare system groundfields, headquarters, barracks, including those which are located on the territories of Ukraine captured by the enemy and other technical and design documentation, law enforcement agencies emphasise.

In addition, hackers demolished seven servers and encrypted over 150 computers of the institution's employees.

In fact, Russian special construction companies were left without the entire array of data and backup copies of information. Now we will have to build new objects from memory, — the message states.

What is known about the objects according to the stolen information

According to sources, there are more than 500 passports of military objects of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation:

  • arsenals of weapons,

  • anti-aircraft warfare system ground fields,

  • headquarters,

  • barracks, including those located on enemy-occupied territories of Ukraine,

  • other technical design documentation.

It is noted that, most likely, this hacker group is related to the SSU.
