The spokesman of the Defense Forces, Valerii Shershen, said that it is about the so-called "invisible tanks", which are practically not visible in thermal imagers.
The Armed Forces received two trophy T-90M
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine captured two unique Russian T-90M "Proryv" tanks of the 2022 model. The trophy equipment has been put into service with the Defence Forces and will be used in the battle against the Russian troops.
The authors of the publication, referring to the Command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, write that when trophy tanks are registered, they are either fully functional or need some repair.
According to him, the uniqueness of trophy tanks is that they are "stealth tanks" since they can not be seen with a thermal imager.
The number of Russian tanks is steadily decreasing
Understanding that the aggressor country entered the war with 2,987 tanks is essential.
According to the publication, during almost 23 months of fierce fighting, the soldiers of the Russian Federation lost at least 2,619 tanks, which independent analysts confirm.
However, as you know, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of January 14, claims that 6,075 enemy tanks have been destroyed.
According to journalists, if the Russian army had no options for replacing military losses, it would have only 368 tanks now, a meagre number, considering that the Armed Forces of Ukraine reserves can number about a thousand units of equipment.
"Uralvagonzavod" in the south of Russia produces new T-90M. Four other enterprises repair and modernize old tanks that have been in warehouses for decades.
Official Moscow assures that the soldiers of the Russian Federation received 1,500 new and modernized tanks thanks to active industrial efforts. However, journalists urge not to trust these loud statements.
Interestingly, the French intelligence group ARI assures that the Russian industry produces only 390 tanks yearly.
This means it could build or repair only 780 tanks during the past two years.
