The newest Ukrainian drone has reached the front

Ukrainian reconnaissance men received a PD-2 uncrewed aerial vehicle from volunteers. This is a Ukrainian-made weapon.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

The DIU's aerial reconnaissance unit received a PD-2 UAV from the Come Back Alive Foundation. The complex consists of two aircraft equipped with its own ground power and communication point, which is integrated into a high-speed minibus.

According to the intelligence officers, this allows the reconnaissance complex to be deployed and dismantled and change location much faster. This saves the lives of operators.

UAV system PD-2: what is known

This is a high-tech system made in Ukraine. The system can operate in the depths of the enemy's defences, provide artillery with target coordinates and adjust fire.

The commander of the DIU intelligence unit with the call sign "Ruben" noted that the most important thing about this complex is its ability to operate in conditions of active electronic warfare suppression. It is capable of conducting surveillance at a distance of over 100 kilometres.

During the defence of Kyiv, we flew a similar complex 95 km from the launch point. And it can stay in the air for more than 5 hours: this means that the PD-2 can cover the needs of more than one artillery settlement in one flight, the DIU commander said.

Volunteers purchased the complex for UAH 25,709,801.13. The funds were raised through donations from Ukrainians.

AQ 400 Scythe flies 750 km

The Ukrainian military received the first batch of new AQ 400 Scythe uncrewed aerial vehicles.

Terminal Autonomy, formerly known as One Way Aerospace, announces the successful completion of a procurement to facilitate the combat deployment of its AQ 400 Scythe system.

In an official statement, the company said that this event, marked by an initial production capacity of 100 units and ambitious plans to scale up to 500 units per month, marks a significant leap in the strategic combat capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The AQ 400 Scythe is a long-range (750 km) UAV designed to be launched from short runways or catapults, capable of carrying a payload of up to 32 kilograms (can be increased to 70 kg due to reduced range). Its distinctive features include rapid assembly, mass production and cost-effectiveness, making it a key asset in modern warfare.
