In the coming days, the Verkhovna Rada should register a draft law on mobilisation and service in the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

What issues will be clarified by the new draft law on mobilisation

Defense Minister Rustem Umierov told Suspilne in an interview that "a mobilisation matrix is being prepared, which should be understandable to society".

The main message is how you can enter the perimeter to serve the country, what will happen when you enter it, how we will train you, how you will go to reconciliation, what vacations will be and when, how you will finish serving and leave this perimeter, while the war is going on.

The minister added that until now, these issues had not been adequately worked out, and no one wanted to touch them.

So I started talking about it with the military — what do they want, what do they want to get? The rules of the game are needed. To all.

According to Umierov, Ukraine wants to reach the borders of 1991, so the society needs to understand how we will win back the lands.

And in this regard, mobilisation, demobilisation, deferment, social protection — these issues need clarification or changes.

As for the details of the changes in the mobilisation, Umierov said that it would be possible to learn about them in the coming days, as it is necessary to agree with the Verkhovna Rada at the time of registration of the new draft law.

The new draft law regulates mobilisation and demobilization

In an interview with online.ua, the advisor to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, noted that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pointed out at the Headquarters [of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief — Ed.] that he wants to receive specific proposals regarding the program of mobilisation, demobilisation, rotation, vacations, and more.

We need a clear understanding of how many people we can demobilise, how many people we can mobilise, what the principles of mobilisation will be.
