The leader of the majority in the US Senate, Democrat Chuck Schumer, arrived in Ukraine on February 23. He will meet with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
What is known about the US Senate Majority Leader's visit
The Democrat published a photo taken in Lviv. The US Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brinks, accompanies the American delegation.
I am leading this delegation to meet with President Zelenskyy to show the Ukrainian people that America stands with them, to show our NATO and European allies we stand with them, to learn about the arms Ukraine vitally needs, and to protect our democracy and national security, Schumer wrote.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is in Lviv on a working visit on February 23. He and the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, honoured the memory of the fallen defenders.
What is known about the US aid delay
On February 13, the US Senate approved a draft law on aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan for 95 billion dollars. In particular, more than 60 billion dollars have been earmarked for Ukraine.
In order for the bill to enter into force, it still needs to be approved by the US House of Representatives and signed by President Joe Biden.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson opposed such an initiative. President Joe Biden called on the House of Representatives to urgently approve the bill.
However, the US House of Representatives adjourned until February 28, thus postponing consideration of aid to Ukraine.
