During the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities meeting, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umierov, called on local authorities to support the mobilization work more actively.

Umшerov said what he expects from the local authorities

According to the Ukrainian MOD press service, the Congress was held under the chairmanship of the head of state. The speaker of the parliament, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, the head of the Presidential Office, government members, MPs, RMA chiefs, and representatives of local self-government bodies participated.

We have to change the approaches to the preparation of conscripts for military service and the population for national resistance. All our people must be trained and prepared. We expect them (local self-government bodies — ed.) to contribute even more to the mobilization work, Rustem Umierov said.

According to the head of the defence department, a new serious threat has appeared in Ukraine's information space.

It is about the fact that the aggressor country began to work even more actively to discredit Ukraine — externally and internally.

The enemy is trying to create an artificial conflict within the leadership and create the illusion that Ukraine is not supported by its partners. Please treat information hygiene carefully, Rustem Umierov explained.

Umierov shared his formula for winning the war

As the head of the Ministry of Defense recently stated, he believes that only technology can win the war.

The Russians can mobilize millions for meat assaults, and their factories across the Urals work in three shifts. But our advantage will come from asymmetric responses, and they are made possible by innovations that are already at work. We invent technologies, test them, scale them. And with your help, we will be able to do it faster and more, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said.

The minister called on the international community to help Kyiv with innovations.
