"We will have an advantage". MOD chief Umierov announced his formula for winning the war

Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
Rustem Umierov

The Ukrainian MOD chief, Rustem Umierov, calls on representatives of more than 30 member countries of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine to help Kyiv with innovations, which, in his opinion, are the key to victory.

Technology can change the situation on the front

The MOD chief held a meeting with military attachés within the framework of the IT coalition. It took place in Kyiv.

According to Rustem Umierov, he is convinced that technology will win the war.

The Russians can conscript millions for “meat assaults”, and their factories across the Urals work in three shifts. But our advantage will come from asymmetric responses, and they are made possible by innovations that are already at work. We invent technologies, test them, scale them. And with your help, we will be able to do it faster and more, MOD chief said.

Deputy Minister Kateryna Chernogorenko drew the attention of all present to the fact that the IT coalition initiative aims to provide the necessary digital basis to support the deployment of any new technological solutions.

Ukraine has actually already become a battlefield for testing a number of military solutions and partners can take advantage of this, she added.

Ukraine told its partners its critical needs

Rustem Umierov's team also talked about the priority needs that official Kyiv expects to receive from the IT coalition members.

First of all, we are talking about tactical-level communications and battalion-level equipment, which will ensure high-quality combat management.

The second concerns the modernization of the infrastructure of the Ministry of Defense, which will allow to continue the deployment of priority digital solutions.

In addition, it is emphasized that representatives of the leading countries of the IT coalition — Estonia and Luxembourg — addressed the participants and called on their partners to join this critical initiative.
