What is the state of the liberated Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia — report of Regional Military Administration

Armed Forces of Ukraine

Some settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast will disappear from the map due to large-scale destruction caused by the russian hostilities. Among them is the liberated Robotyno, which was virtually wiped out by Russian shelling.

Liberated Robotyne is completely destroyed

The enemy continues to bombard our settlements. They are firing from artillery and MLRS, attacking with UAVs. Fortunately, there were no casualties today. Our soldiers are doing a good job, they are preparing special "gifts” to the invaders every day in response — they strike at enemy targets in Melitopol, Tokmak and Berdiansk said Yuriy Malashko, head of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration.

According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia RMA, before the war, Robotyno had a population of about 600 people, but now they have nowhere to return to.

As for the settlement itself, it is practically gone, completely destroyed, Malashko said.

The head of the region said that they are currently "studying the European model" and are considering the available opportunities for reconstruction.

We now realise that some settlements may not exist. We will decide whether they should be restored at all, or whether it is better to rebuild another settlement," said the head of the RMA.

Yuriy Malashko also reported that the evacuation of the population from the front-line settlements is ongoing.

According to the head of the OVA, the population in the temporarily occupied territories is under all kinds of pressure from the Russians. In particular, they mobilize men, "brainwash" children, plant Russian narratives and turn the population against Ukraine.

Russian Invaders mine fields in Zaporizhzhia region

Analysts claim that Russian troops have begun to mine previously cleared areas on the Robotyne-Werbove line (10 km south to 18 km southeast of Orikhiv) to achieve tactical surprise.

A prominent Kremlin-linked blogger claimed that Russian troops had intensified tactical offensives in several frontline areas outside Zaporizhzhia region to stretch Ukrainian defences and distract Ukrainians.

Colonel Oleksandr Stupun, spokesman for the Tavria operational-strategic group, said that the enemy was trying to block the Ukrainian armed forces in the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, thus preventing the transfer of reserves to Zaporizhzhia region.
