According to the head of the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, active offensive actions on both sides are currently hampered by the use of a large number of drones.
How the use of UAVs made it impossible to conduct large-scale offensive operations at the front
The DIU chief stressed that both the Ukrainian military and the Russian occupiers are currently actively using UAVs, which makes it impossible to conduct large-scale offensive operations.
The Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine stressed that another important factor is the density of minefields, which has not been observed since the Second World War.
Budanov stressed that modern Western and domestic electronic warfare systems remain the best defence against enemy UAVs.
He added, however, that special equipment is required to traverse minefields.
What British intelligence says about the effectiveness of the Armed Forces' use of drones
According to UK Ministry of Defence intelligence analysts, the Russian criminal army has no effective defence against Ukrainian drone attacks on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region.
British intelligence notes that Ukrainian UAVs destroy up to 90% of enemy military equipment in the Krynky area.
British experts attribute this to the absence of Russian electronic warfare equipment in the area.
