The Russian occupiers are actively pressing along the entire front line. Heavy fighting continues near Krynyk, Robotyny and Kupyansk. The strategic task is to capture three regions of Ukraine.
What was the task of the Russian soldiers after the capture of Avdiivka
The enemy is trying to avoid cutting the southern and eastern logistics corridors. Mykola Malomuzh, retired army general, ex-director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, spoke in more detail about the situation at the front.
The retired army general noted that Vladimir Putin, after the capture of Avdiyivka, set the next task — to develop an offensive in this direction. However, the enemy's forces are extremely weakened. Each unit suffered losses of 40-45% - killed and wounded. If 30-40% of personnel are out of order, the military unit is considered incapacitated.
They are taken out for regrouping from Avdiyivka. New soldiers are added or several units are raised. Even with such losses, Putin's order is followed and the attacks continue. The main task is to capture the Donetsk and Luhansk regions before the end of the election campaign. Therefore, force majeure is used.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military retreated to positions that had been created for 3-4 months - these are fortified areas. Once upon a time, a Stavka was held, which determined prospects in priority areas - to build fortified areas and, in the event of a change in positions, to create new strike groups and powerful centers for conducting defense and counterattacks. Although the Ukrainian military has withdrawn, such actions are not critical — they are a military necessity. There are no strategic or even tactical breakthroughs.
About Kupyansk, Maryinka and Bakhmut
Malomuzh said that the Russians will try to capture Kupyansk. Preparatory events unfold near Svatovoy and Kreminnaya. In this area, the Ukrainian military is also conducting maneuvers, and the Russians are conducting operations. This destination will be one of the hottest in the coming days. The main task is the capture of the Kharkiv region. The Russians will try to achieve this with a 100,000-strong group, several thousand tanks, armored personnel carriers, BMPs and self-propelled guns.
Enemy actions near Maryinka continue. We carried out several counterattacks. Even improved some positions. That is, it is ambiguous that the enemy was just advancing on all fronts, as Russian propaganda says. There are countermeasures — the Mariinsky format proved it. To some extent, the enemy pushed back, but we just launched a counterattack in this direction, - said Malomuzh.
Russian occupiers are trying to develop offensive operations near Bakhmut, Ivanovsky, Andriyivka and Klishchiivka. The Ukrainian military holds the heights and positions that are important for the task of the corresponding strikes. They continue to press the enemy, even though the Russians threw a lot of forces. Bakhmut is a facility controlled by Putin in order to prevent its release. If this happens, it will already be a military-political format for undermining offensive operations during the election campaign.
About Robotyn
According to Malomuzha, the Russians expect that Ukrainian soldiers will flank a large group in Zaporozhye, and from the Kherson region they will block the southern logistics corridor from Crimea and through the Perekop Isthmus. The Russians will try not only to carry out offensive actions, but also to prevent encirclement and cutting of routes.
Special additional units were thrown into the Robotynoy area, and that is why they are storming so professionally. There are not simple "mobs" or even "Storm-Z", "Storm-V" mercenaries, but those who are trained. Some of them are recruited from the GRU of Russia. According to our data, in addition to the Wagnerites, special units of strategic intelligence are gradually transferred there from various divisions. They act in the most difficult situations, - said Mykola Malomuzh.
Although the Ukrainian military retreats by several hundred meters, they carry out counterattacks. There is no failure of the front. Robotine is not captured, but the enemy is fixed in some sectors. More than 10 times, the occupiers entered, and the Armed Forces destroyed them and pushed them back. Now there is a variable format. The situation changes every hour.
About Krynka
The ex-leader of the SZR noted that the Kherson direction is very sensitive both for the Defense Forces and for Vladimir Putin. Sergei Shoigu and Valery Gerasimov have repeatedly reported that Ukrainian marines and other units have been thrown into the Dnipro and all the way to the Right Bank. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out strikes on a Russian group that was preparing for a special operation against our marines. At least 60 people died and an unknown number of wounded.
There is a difficult situation and it is difficult to conduct operations even with a super high level of training. The saving grace is that from the right bank we are striking powerfully with both rocket and artillery systems. This creates prerequisites for our landing forces to hold positions there and not let the enemy report that this bridgehead has been captured. It is important for us in the future. In the case of offensive operations, this sector can be one of the key ones for cutting the southern corridor and striking from the flanks of the Zaporozhian group, Mykola Malomuzh noted.
