Reserve units are reinforcing the criminal army of the Russian Federation in the Avdiivka region and want to achieve particular successes before the sacred dates of February 23-24.

What is known about the situation in the Avdiivka region

According to the OSTG "Tavria" speaker, Capt. Dmytro Lykhovy, the occupying army of the Russian Federation is strengthening its units in the Avdiivka region, where Russian war criminals regrouped after the capture of the settlement at the expense of available reserves.

They are strengthening some positions, but we, for our part, are also strengthening our defense lines with additional units, — noted Lykhovii.

He also emphasised that the enemy pressure in the Zaporizhzhia region has decreased significantly recently.

During the past 24 hours, eight enemy attacks were repelled in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Lykhovi emphasised that the Russian occupiers' critical efforts were concentrated in the Avdiivka and Mariinka areas.

Thus, near Mariinka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 14 enemy attacks during the day.

In the vicinity of Stepove, Sieverne, Lastochkyne, Nevelske, and Pervomaiske, the Armed Forces repulsed 19 attacks.

Most likely, the enemy wants to make progress before their "red dates" in the calendar associated with February 23rd and the tragic day for all of us, February 24th. They develop activity there, — suggests Lykhovii.

What is known about the situation in the Bakhmut area

According to the command of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the criminal army of the Russian Federation tried to conduct an offensive along the line "Chasiv Yar — Khromove — Bakhmut".

However, the occupiers had to retreat due to losing many armoured vehicles.

The loss of a large number of enemy armored vehicles during today's offensive prompted the Russians to retreat, the Ground Forces representatives say.

In particular, as noted, the "Perun" unit helped to stop the occupiers by burning 2 APVs in this area.
