Ukrainian MOD analyzed what types of UAVs the Ukrainian military is lacking

The military and volunteers often say that on the front line, drones are always necessary consumables. Umierov's deputy confirmed that drones are expendable. However, he assured the AFU received more UAVs in November than in October.

What UAVs are lacking in the Ukrainian military

However, the state is developing new weapons and military equipment (WMT), such as minesweepers and long-range rifles. As for drones, their production is being scaled up like EW's production.

UAVs became more, but not without nuances

In recent months, our soldiers have received more drones, including various types and modifications. But unfortunately, in some areas of the front, the fighting is very intense, so drones are becoming expendable. This especially applies to UAVs of the tactical level.

Their supply needs to be replenished practically continuously, like shells, Gavrilyuk emphasized.

What are the forecasts for December

Positive changes are promised in the Ministry of Defense this month.

We recently received an additional resource for procurement. Therefore, in December, the Armed Forces will receive many times more drones. I hope the picture on the battlefield will change. It is important to add that it is necessary to scale not only the production of UAVs, but also the production of EW. We are increasingly stimulating the activation of domestic production of this equipment, Umierov’s deputy said.

What is known about new models of weapons and equipment

Currently, the AFU have about 70 modifications of drones and more than 20 different types of ammunition for them. Six new models of EW (particularly the so-called trench ones) were recently implemented.

The Ministry of Defense and the AFU General Staff have finished testing tactical means of radio interference to loitering munition and FPV drones. Ukrainian enterprises developed them, and the products were tested in conditions close to combat conditions.
