The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that he cannot send more pilots to training abroad.
Why does Ukraine send few fighters for F-16 and Abrams training
The leader said that training missions on F-16 fighters have already begun, but they are still "minimal".
He explained that Ukraine cannot simply take the pilots who fly the planes and send them abroad to learn how to use other equipment.
He described that the state has to take some pilots off duty to send them to learn to fly a different class of aircraft.
He said that Ukrainian pilots are currently performing their tasks on the frontline, although not on F-16s. According to Zelenskyy, Russia has a full advantage in the sky, but this is "at least a deterrent."
Why don't we send more tank crews to train on Abrams?
The president also answered a similar question about the Abrams tank training. He explained that Ukraine does not have enough of them.
The president expressed hope that Ukraine will develop international relations and have more supplies in the future.
