The leader said that training missions on F-16 fighters have already begun, but they are still "minimal".
Do we want to speed it up and increase it? Yes! We need pilots for this. Here you have to understand that it is difficult because we are at war, Zelenskyy said.
He explained that Ukraine cannot simply take the pilots who fly the planes and send them abroad to learn how to use other equipment.

He said that Ukrainian pilots are currently performing their tasks on the frontline, although not on F-16s. According to Zelenskyy, Russia has a full advantage in the sky, but this is "at least a deterrent."

The president also answered a similar question about the Abrams tank training. He explained that Ukraine does not have enough of them.
Fortunately or unfortunately, we have a lot of different tanks, and the Abrams is no exception. A high-quality tank, but we don't have many of them, I'll tell you honestly, - said Zelensky.
The president expressed hope that Ukraine will develop international relations and have more supplies in the future.
So far, it is difficult to say that they play the most important role on the battlefield. Their number is very low, he said.
