More and more Russian soldiers are surrendering to Ukrainian forces. Petro Yatsenko, head of the press service of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, told online.ua whether the Russians will be involved in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Russian prisoners are unlikely to be involved in rebuilding Ukraine
According to Petro Yatsenko, the idea of involving Russian prisoners of war in the reconstruction of our country is in the air today.
However, it will be extremely difficult to implement, given that the process of exchanging prisoners of war between Kyiv and Moscow has finally been established.
Despite this, what Russian prisoners in Ukraine are doing is still large-scale.
For example, they weave furniture. If there are more of them, they do more of this work.
In addition, there is work as a camp hostess, at the sawmill, as well as work related to baking bread and caring for the severely wounded.
Ukraine is ready to capture absolutely all Russians who will surrender
According to Petro Yatsenko, each captured Russian soldier means dozens of saved lives of Ukrainians.
In addition, it is important to understand that the Russian military will not surrender to Ukrainian captivity if the conditions are terrible.
