The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, said that he did not consider the discovery of listening devices in his office to be pressure. He also does not think that state secrets were disclosed in the cabinet.
Zaluzhnyi commented on the discovery of listening devices in his office
Zaluzhnyi spoke with journalists before the presentation of the work of the State Rear Operator for 2024.
To the question of whether he considers the discovery of surveillance in his office as pressure, Zaluzhnyi answered:
He added that he was supposed to go into the office where the listening device was found at 7 am today.
The commander-in-chief explained that he had not been in the office where the equipment was found for a long time.
Listening devices in Zaluzhnyi's office: what is known
On December 17, the Ukrainian mass media, citing sources in military circles, reported that listening devices were discovered in Valeriy Zaluzhnyi's office.
The Security Service of Ukraine announced that they opened proceedings under Article 359 Chapter 2 (illegal acquisition, sale or use of special technical means of obtaining information) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
They added that the device was discovered not directly in Zaluzhnyi's office but in one of the rooms that he could use for work in the future.
They added that, previously, the equipment was out of order.
