President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, during which the current situation at the front was discussed.

What is known about the results of the meeting of the Stavka

He also held a meeting of the Staff. As always, the Chief of Defence and the commanders of the sectors reported on the operational situation. Kupyansk, Lyman and all sectors in the Donetsk region, including the southern Ukraine, were the most discussed by the Head of State during the meeting.

He expressed his gratitude to all Ukrainian military personnel for their resilience and courage.

The task of our state - even now, in winter, no matter how difficult it is - is to show strength and not allow the enemy to seize the initiative, not allow them to strengthen their positions. I thank everyone whose actions ensure exactly that for Ukraine - our opportunity to take these steps. Today, I would like to pay special attention to the warriors who have proved themselves in it the most - now, in battles, in winter and this autumn, the Head of State emphasised.

Zelenskyi reported on the evacuation of Ukrainians from the Gaza Strip

According to the president, on December 8, it was possible to evacuate almost 40 citizens of Ukraine from the territory of the Gaza Strip, where Israel's military operation against the terrorists of the Palestinian group Hamas is currently underway.

Our intelligence, our diplomats continue to evacuate Ukrainian citizens from the Gaza Strip. All day today, our people are being evacuated to a safe area. Almost 40 more citizens of Ukraine are safe, the president noted.
