President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he does not intend to get rid of his team, as this would reduce Western aid and make Ukraine weaker.

Zelenskyy explained why he will not change his team

At the summary press conference, Volodymyr Zelenskyy answered who could be replaced in the President's team to make Ukraine stronger.

As for my team, if I lose my team, and I have a small team of 5-6 managers, we will become weaker, there will be less air defence, less help. With all due respect to your rhetoric, I simply cannot afford it, the president said.

Zelenskyy also believes that it is impossible to dissolve the Verkhovna Rada, as this will lead to elections.

What can I do as president? I cannot dismiss them. Because then there will be elections. Elections cannot be held during a war, the president said.

At the same time, the President reminded that "no matter who the MPs were", they voted for European integration laws.

Rada upholds ban on wartime elections

On 1 December, all political forces in the Verkhovna Rada supported the ban on holding elections in Ukraine in the context of the criminal war waged by Russia.

We agreed that the upcoming free and fair national elections (parliamentary and presidential) will take place after the end of the war and the end of martial law, with sufficient time to prepare for the elections (at least 6 months after the end of martial law), the conclusions of the meetings read.

It is also stressed that the upcoming national elections will be of great importance for Ukraine's democratic prospects. Therefore, the MPs are convinced that they should be held in accordance with international standards.
