Zelenskyy replaced the commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In his evening video message on November 19, Volodymyr Zelensky announced personnel changes in the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The President announced this on Facebook.
According to Zelenskyy, instead of Major General of the Medical Service Tetyana Ostashchenko, Anatoly Kazmirchuk, Major General of the Medical Service, was appointed as the new commander. He is currently the chief of the National Military Medical Clinical Center "Main Military Clinical Hospital" in Kyiv.
Zelenskyy noted that, in particular, it is necessary to have high-quality turnstiles, complete digitalization, and transparency in supply, from high-quality training to sincere communication with combat medics in those units where medicine is deployed correctly and effectively.
Who will be the new commander of the Special Operations Forces
It is worth noting that open sources do not have any information about Lapanchuk and his previous work in the Armed Forces.
By previous decree No. 727, Zelenskyy dismissed Viktor Horenko from this position. It will be recalled that Khorenko was appointed commander of the SOF on July 25, 2022. On August 16, he joined the Staff of the Commander-in-Chief.
Special operations forces are a separate unit within the Armed Forces. It includes special purpose units and units of informational and psychological special operations.
SOFs are equipped with specially trained specialists who are trained in the field of intelligence. SOFs perform complex, dangerous, and sometimes politically sensitive operations.
