Zelenskyy appoints the ex-Ukroboronprom chief as ambassador to Azerbaijan

On February 22, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed the former head of Ukroboronprom Yuriy Gusev as ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan.

The new ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan

Presidential Decree No. 86/2024, "On the appointment of Y. Husev as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan", states:

Appoint Yurii Veniaminovych HUSYEV as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the same time, the President, by Decree No. 85/2024, dismissed the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Vladyslav Kanevskyi. He has been in office since 2019.

Dismiss Kanevsky Vladyslav Volodymyrovych from the position of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In June 2023, Zelenskyy dismissed Gusev from the post of general director of Ukroboronprom, which he had headed since December 2020. Herman Smetanin was appointed instead.

Emina Dzhaparova has been appointed as a representative of Ukraine in international organisations

At the same time, Zelenskyy appointed the First Deputy MFA chief of Ukraine, Emina Dzhaparova, as a permanent representative to international organisations in Vienna, Austria.

Appoint Dzhaparova Emina Aiyarovna as the permanent representative of Ukraine to international organisations in Vienna, — stated in Zelenskyy's decree No. 87/2024.

Dzhaparova has held the First Deputy MFA chief post since May 2020. "Crimean Platform" actively promotes the international mechanism for the deoccupation of Crimea.
