Why did Zelenskyy come to Saudi Arabia?
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, arrived on a visit to Saudi Arabia. The head of state announced this on the Facebook page.
In particular, Zelenskyy flew to Saudi Arabia to continue regular dialogue with His Highness Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman al Saud.
The first topic of the visit concerns the Peace Formula of Ukraine.
Last year in Jeddah, we held a fruitful meeting at the level of advisors regarding its implementation. Now we are very close to holding the first Peace Summit and we count on continued active support from Saudi Arabia, — the president said.
In addition, the second topic of the visit is the return of prisoners and deported persons. "The leadership of Saudi Arabia has already contributed to the release of our people. I am sure that this meeting will also bring results," Zelenskyy added.
The head of state noted that prospective areas of economic cooperation and the participation of Saudi Arabia in the reconstruction of Ukraine will also be discussed.
Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Bulgarian PM
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held productive and quite specific negotiations with Prime Minister of Bulgaria Nikolay Denkov.
The President thanked Bulgaria for supporting Ukraine's efforts in the Black Sea and the Danube region to expand trade flows and restore regular shipping.
We must manage to ensure normal economic relations even in such a difficult time despite all the difficulties. We agreed with Bulgaria to intensify the development of logistics and infrastructure in our region. Our joint respect for the principle of good neighbourliness will add economic growth to both our countries, — said Zelenskyy.
