President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held productive and specific negotiations with Prime Minister of Bulgaria Nikolay Denkov.

What Zelenskyy discussed with Bulgarian PM Denkov

The President thanked Bulgaria for supporting Ukraine's efforts in the Black Sea and the Danube region to expand trade flows and restore regular shipping.

We must manage to ensure normal economic relations even in such a difficult time despite all the difficulties. We agreed with Bulgaria to intensify logistics and infrastructure development in our region. Our joint respect for the principle of good neighbourliness will add economic growth to both our countries, — said Zelenskyy.

Ukraine wants to start joint weapons production with Bulgaria

According to the President, Kyiv agreed with Sofia to improve Ukrainian logistics and infrastructure.

Ukraine is very interested in joint (defence — ed.) production with Bulgaria. With other states too, but above all with those that have great potential in the defense sector. In my opinion, this will be a high-quality cooperation, because Bulgaria will be able to get both jobs and money into its economy. And for Ukraine, I believe that we will close those deficit needs that we have today, — Zelenskyy said.

He clarified that they wanted to cooperate with Bulgaria during the war and after its end.

The President noted that Bulgaria is also helping to establish the truth about Russian war crimes and is ready to join the work of bringing the Russian Federation to justice for the crime of aggression.

Ukraine is now actively negotiating with other countries about joint defence production.
