According to the head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he could never even imagine that Russia's war against Ukraine would be so brutal.

Zelenskyy shared his thoughts on the Russian invasion of Ukraine

The president spoke about his emotions and hopes in an interview with the British channel Channel 4 News.

According to the country's leader, he was aware of all the responsibility when he entered big politics, but he could not have imagined that events would unfold in this way.

I did not know that the war would be like this, but I understood that I was responsible and would stay in any case. I think that a strong president is only when he is surrounded by equally strong people. The society was watching what I would say and what I would do, so I think we gave each other a signal to be strong, — said the head of state.

Ukraine lacks help from partners

Volodymyr Zelenskyi does not hide that the amount of aid that the army of our country currently receives is not enough for effective warfare.

He is convinced that Washington has enough funds and resources to provide Ukraine with everything it needs, but the solution to these problems has been delayed for a long time.

But when I talk to politicians, sometimes I think I haven't seen anything... Everyone smiles, hugs, says: "You are resilient, you are so strong, you are a real man, the leader of the free world. You saved our democracy... We could have lost half of Europe , and Russia would attack the United States, NATO countries, and we have to give you everything, everything we have." And then — as if the command "cut!". They (USA — ed.) helped us a lot so that we could endure. I think they can help us more so that we win," added Zelenskyy.
