Zelenskyy named the critical condition for Europe's protection from the Russian aggression

Office of the President of Ukraine
Volodymyr Zelenskyy

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, there is only one solution to ensure the protection of Europe from aggression by the Russian Federation.

What will help protect Europe from Russian aggression

In order to protect Europe from Russia militarily in the long term, there is only one solution — a single European arms industry, Zelenskyy emphasised.

The President noted that along with the war against Ukraine, the Kremlin is conducting a hybrid aggression against all European countries.

But Russian aggression can be defeated. But in order to teach them a lesson that aggression cannot lead to good, solidarity is necessary, the head of state explains.

At the same time, Zelenskyi expressed gratitude to Sweden for its solidarity and assistance with the Ukrainian people.

In particular, for military aid, especially for the CV90 tank and the Archer artillery system, which saved the lives of Ukrainians.

Ukraine is already and always will be one of the most significant European security donors. We strive for the best weapons and technologies in the world for our own security and the security of our partners, Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President emphasised that joint production with Sweden is a priority for Ukraine.

And I am sure that the day will come when we will be able to see the opening of the first joint production with you in Ukraine, the head of state emphasised.

The Swedish MFA chief urged EU countries to prepare for a confrontation with Russia.

According to the chief of the Swedish Foreign Ministry, Tobias Billström, Russia will continue to threaten Sweden and European countries.

We must prepare for a long-term confrontation that will continue as long as Russia violates the UN Charter and the European security order, Billström warned.

The minister also emphasized that Sweden's military and political support for Ukraine will continue and welcomes the EU's decision to accept Ukraine as a member.
