In his evening address, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the delay in the supply of weapons and anti-aircraft defense to Ukraine leads to the losses that occurred in Odesa today.
Ukraine needs air defense to protect lives
Zelenskyi said that as of this time seven people have died in Odesa, including two children.
The baby was four months old, his name was Timofey. But the boy is Mark, the child is not yet three years old. My condolences to all relatives and friends. Eight people were injured, including a three-year-old child and a girl.
The president emphasized that such attacks by "shaheds" do not and cannot have any military meaning.
He added that this is "terror, which aims exclusively to destroy lives, exclusively to intimidate people. The world knows that terror can be opposed. The world has enough air defense systems, systems of protection against "shaheeds" and missiles."
Ukraine did not ask for anything more than necessary to protect life. And when lives are lost, and partners simply have internal political games or disputes that limit our defense, it is impossible to understand. It is impossible to agree with this. And it will be impossible to forget — the world will remember it.
