President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he is confident in the United States of America and, therefore, Ukraine will receive full support and financial assistance.

Should Ukraine expect help from the USA?

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is confident that aid from the United States will continue to come and talk about his trip to the States.

Regarding financial aid. We are working very hard on this. I am sure that the USA will not betray us and that what we agreed on in the USA will be fully implemented, Zelenskyy said.

The President noted that he is sure that Ukraine will receive financial assistance from the USA. In addition, the USA knows how support will affect Ukraine's military capability and defence.

I think I found an understanding with Biden and both chambers. Let's see, he emphasized.

What is known about US financial assistance to Ukraine

In October of this year, US President Joe Biden asked US Congress for more than $106 billion for national security needs. Among them is the new financing of military aid for Ukraine, which is more than 61 billion dollars.

However, on December 6, the US Senate blocked the start of the debate on the military aid package. The reason for this was the demands of the Republican Party to include in the bill a stricter set of measures to protect the southern border with Mexico.

Republicans and Democrats have begun negotiations to reach a compromise on providing funding for military aid to Ukraine. Against this background, the US Senate decided to continue work before the Christmas break.
