Despite the active attacks of the Russian army, the Defence Forces of Ukraine continue measures to expand the foothold in the Kherson direction.
The situation at the front on January 27-28. The General Staff announced the details
On January 27, 79 combat clashes took place between the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Russian invaders.
The Russian army launched three missiles and eight air strikes, as well as carried out 82 shells by MRLS TO the positions of Ukrainian defenders and peaceful towns and villages.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled seven enemy attacks near Synkivka and Tabaivka of the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks by the occupiers, and in the Bakhmut direction - 7.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the enemy, who does not stop trying to surround Avdiivka. Thus, during the past day, the Defense Forces repelled 11 enemy attacks near Stepove, Avdiivka and another 17 attacks near Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske of the Donetsk region.
In the Mariinka direction, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine prevented the Russians from advancing and repelled 14 attacks.
In the directions of Shakhtarsk and Zaporozhzhia, the Russian soldiers were also unable to achieve their goals.
In the Kherson direction, the Defence Forces will continue measures to expand the foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not stop trying to knock out Ukrainian units from their positions. So, during the past day, the enemy carried out 2 unsuccessful assault actions.
During the day, Ukrainian defenders struck four areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration of the Russian army.
Units of the missile forces struck one artillery piece and two ammunition depots of the enemy.
