During the attack on the air base "Belbek" in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russian general Aleksandr Tatarenko was possibly eliminated by AFU attack.

What is known about the liquidation of the Russian General

According to Russian media reports, ten Russian servicemen were killed, including the commander of the aviation squadron, Lieutenant General Aleksandr Tatarenko.

Judging by information from open sources, the liquidated General was 63 years old. He served in the Far East, the Urals, Siberia and the northern regions of Russia. In 2016, he was appointed as the 14th Air Force Army and Air Defense Forces Commander in the Central Military District of the Russian Federation. The eliminated General was a military pilot 1st class.

What is known about the attack on the Belbek air base

On January 31, a series of explosions rang out in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The occupiers announced the alleged "launch of 20 missiles", which they allegedly managed to shoot down.

Turmover, Ukraine's Air Force commander, Mykola Oleschuk, hinted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had struck the Belbek air base.

In addition, explosions were heard in Saky, Gvardiyske and Feodosia.

The occupying army of the Russian Federation declared an air alert. Air defence was working, and aviation was taking to the sky.

An hour later, repeated explosions rang out in Sevastopol, in the Saky district and near Gvardiyske.

Later, explosions were again reported in the northern part of Sevastopol and Shtolkin on the Kerch Peninsula.

Debris fell in the private sector of Fedorivska Street and also damaged 12 buildings in the garden society "Ust-Belbek".

The Crimean Wind monitoring group noted that these cottages are located 250-350 meters from the likely explosion site in the radar town at the Belbek airfield.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense began to cynically lie about the alleged 100% results of air defence.

The report notes that Ukraine allegedly launched about 20 air-guided missiles, 17 of which were downed over the Black Sea and another three over Crimea.

Ukraine's Air Force spokesman, Yuriy Ignat, confirmed the damage to objects at the air base without details.
