The commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited the Ukrainian troops stationed in the Bakhmut direction.
Syrskyi in the direction of Bakhmut
The Ground Forces reported that Russian troops are trying to break through Ukrainian defences in the Chasiv Yar area and are resorting to local actions by small assault groups under cover of drones and artillery.
Also, the enemy widely uses kamikaze drones and other EW means of warfare.
The situation is tense, requiring constant monitoring of the situation and prompt decision-making directly on the ground.
Commander Syrskyi listened to brigade commanders about the current situation, evaluated the effectiveness of fire damage and considered new ways to increase the fire capabilities of Ukrainian troops.
He discussed with the commanders of units and formations the probable tactics of the enemy's actions and options for the further development of hostilities. After that, they together planned the scenarios of repelling the aggressor and preventing his advance.
Syrskyi drew the commanders' attention to the critical priority — preserving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and minimising casualties.
