Russia is looking for new tactics for drone attacks in Ukraine

Russia's latest drone attacks on Ukraine took place using new tactical techniques.

The spokeswoman of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Nataliia Humenyuk, reported this.

According to her, the promotion of "Shahed" is now taking place in smaller groups.

The last waves of strikes consist of from two to eight kamikaze drones, this night they counted up to 14. But this direction of the "Shaheds" is quite branched, or on the contrary, abundantly concentrated, as was the case in the Odesa region, very tightly in a row, not giving the opportunity to orientate. This is a search for new tactics, it is obvious, the enemy is trying to find out the readiness and accuracy of air defense systems, their location, in order to plan future powerful actions, — Humenyuk noted.

She added that during today's night attack on southern Ukraine, the Russians resorted to "tactical tricks".

The enemy used the low passage of drones over the water, making their detection as difficult as possible for anti-aircraft defense, and they entered from the direction of actually residential quarters, although they maneuvered among industrial ones as well, the spokeswoman added.

The night attack of "Shaheds" on January 25

On the night of January 25, Russian terrorists launched two waves of Shahed kamikaze drones into southern Ukraine.

The main attack was concentrated on Odesa. As a result of the attack, houses and a warehouse were damaged, and six people were injured.

Air defence forces managed to shoot down 11 kamikaze drones: 10 in Odesa region and one in Mykolaiv region.
