According to the Air Force press service, on the night of January 29, 2024, the Russian army attacked the territory of Ukraine with eight kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type from Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk region.

In addition, the enemy also fired one Iskander-M missile from the Voronezh region and three S-300 anti-aircraft missiles at the Donetsk region from the temporarily occupied territory of the region.

The forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the Air Defense Forces of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed eight enemy UAVs within Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi and Rivne regions. Anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups are involved in repelling the air attack — emphasises the Air Force Command.

Russia again attacked the Poltava region.

On the evening of January 28, for the second day in a row, the Russian army attacked the Kremenchuk district with missiles.

This was announced by the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Philip Pronin.

On the evening of January 27, the Russian invaders struck an industrial facility in the Kremenchuk district with two Iskander-M missiles. There were also no casualties as a result of the attack.

More than one and a half hundred rescuers extinguished the fire on an area of more than 1,000 m². Almost 50 units of equipment were involved. Specialists from neighboring regions also took part in extinguishing the fire, the head of the RMA said at the time.
