In Germany, another teenager from Ukraine was beaten on the grounds of alleged xenophobia. The Consulate General in Dusseldorf is dealing with this case.

What is known about the beating of a 15-year-old Ukrainian teenager in Germany

It is noted that the 15-year-old Ukrainian received severe head injuries and was taken to the hospital. His life is not in danger. The incident occurred at the diner on February 10, but the police reported it later.

According to the police, the unknown man "made xenophobic remarks" about the teenager from Ukraine. Then the man hit the boy on the head with an unidentified object and disappeared.

According to witnesses, the attacker could be from Poland. The police did not specify the details.

As DW notes, since the incident occurred based on alleged xenophobia, the investigation is being conducted by the state security authorities in Dusseldorf.

The Consulate General in Dusseldorf is dealing with this case. Consular assistance is being provided to the victim, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, Oleg Nikolenko.

What is known about the murder of the Ukrainian basketball player Yermakov

On February 10 in Germany, Ukrainian basketball players Volodymyr Yermakov and Artem Kozachenko, who play for the youth national team of Ukraine, were attacked by unknown persons with knives. As a result of the injuries, Ermakov died in the hospital, and Kozachenko is in intensive care.

Investigators managed to establish the identities of the two young people who attacked the Ukrainians. They were accused of committing a crime and arrested at their place of residence. They turned out to be a 15-year-old German-Turk from Gelsenkirchen and a 14-year-old German-Greek from Herne, both of whom have already appeared in criminal cases on several occasions.

Later, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko, said that the Consulate General in Dusseldorf had already held negotiations with the head of the police of the city of Essen.

According to him, the consuls emphasized the need for the investigation to be carried out as soon as possible and the criminal to be brought to justice.
