According to the information agency, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy will receive a message in Davos from his American colleague Joe Biden with a call to go on the defensive in the war with Russia.

Sullivan passes on Biden's war-fighting advice to Zelenskyy

Journalists claim that Zelenskyy will receive a message from the White House head on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

According to the latest information, it is intended to be announced by US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.

Official Washington will advise Zelenskyy's team to change the strategy of fighting the Russian invaders: to switch from counteroffensive to defensive.

Zelenskyy understands why this makes sense, even though he won't like hearing or talking about it publicly. Therefore, he should tell Sullivan to respond to Biden and remind the US Congress that Ukraine can only play proper defense if the US and its allies guarantee that it has the means to do so.

Russia also realises it's more profitable to stand on the defensive than to offensive

Bloomberg journalists concluded that the head of the Kremlin realised the tactical advantages of defence, which is why the de facto dictator ordered his army to stop the offensive and hold the occupied lands.

Moreover, it is emphasised that the ageing country intends to spend 8% of its GDP on the army this year.

What is essential to understand is that it will exceed social spending for the first time since the collapse of the USSR. Russian factories produce bullets and bombs, and their partners Iran and North Korea supply even more.

Of course, Ukraine should ramp up its own production of ammo, but that’s more easily said than done while Russian missiles are hailing on its factories.
