Canadian Defenсe Minister Bill Blair said that his country's government supports sending a limited number of its military personnel to Ukraine to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Canadian soldiers can arrive in Ukraine

According to the Canadian MOD chief, a limited number of military personnel can train Ukrainian troops on Ukraine's territory.

The primary condition of official Ottawa is that all this happens far from the front line, and its troops will perform a precise, non-combat role.

I do not want to place Canadian Armed Forces personnel anywhere near a theatre of operations where it might appear that we are taking on some component of a combat role.

It is essential to understand that this statement is also consistent with the security agreement between Canada and Ukraine signed last weekend, which states that Canada can resume military training activities in Ukraine "when conditions permit."

It is also worth reminding that the Canadian military was engaged in preparing the Ukrainian army for a full-scale invasion as part of the Operation Unifier program, which was then transferred abroad.

What Macron said about the possibility of Western troops sending to Ukraine

French leader Emmanuel Macron officially confirmed that the allies of Kyiv have already discussed a possible scenario of introducing their troops into Ukraine.

According to him, they can come to the aid of the Armed Forces to restrain the Russian army.

However, as Macron explained, no such decision has been made yet.

Many people who say "Never and never" today were the same people who two years ago said: "No tanks, no planes, no long-range missiles," the French leader said.
