Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the NSDC, warned that Western partners should increase aid to Ukraine and prevent the situation from worsening.

Why it is important for the West to urgently increase aid to Ukraine

The situation on the front line is very difficult. It has never been easy since February 24, 2022, and if someone thinks that the situation is easy, then these are people who do not understand war, — emphasized the secretary of the NSDC.

Danilov emphasized on the air of the RTP channel that Russia's receipt of weapons from Iran and North Korea led to a change in the situation at the front.

The Secretary of the National Security Council admitted that under such a scenario, if the current amount of aid from Western partners is maintained or reduced, the situation may worsen.

We need guns, guns, guns.

Danilov also admitted that the delay in approving aid from the US also has a negative impact on the situation at the front, but Ukraine will not stop resisting the occupation army of the Russian Federation.

If we are asked: will we stop? We will not stop, we will defend our country. We have no other alternative, we have no other way out. And we really hope that our partners will understand that our independence is under threat, as well as the image, authority and unity of the entire West... I am more than sure that US support will be provided in the near future, — stressed the secretary of the NSDC.

What they say in the West

According to Paul Ronzheimer, deputy editor-in-chief of the German publication Bild, Ukraine is currently experiencing the most difficult crisis caused by the criminal war unleashed by Russia, since the attempted offensive of the occupying Russian army on Kyiv.

As a reporter in Ukraine, I haven't seen this sentiment since the full-scale invasion in 2022. The question is whether all this drama was understood in Washington, Berlin and Paris, — the journalist notes after visiting the positions of the Ukrainian military in the Bakhmut area.

Ronzheimer states that the goal set by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to liberate all the territories occupied by Russia at the moment cannot be realized and this should be publicly acknowledged.

The journalist explains this by the fact that Ukraine lacks weapons, personnel, technologies and reliable support from Western partners.

A trip from Kyiv to Sloviansk is like a trip to another country. While the people of Kyiv can once again enjoy life in restaurants, at least until the curfew, in Donbas no one knows which city may fall next. A year ago there was a battle for Bakhmut, tens of thousands of people died. Today there are battles for Chasiv Yar or Avdiivka. One thing is clear: the Russians have an advantage! Although the Russian troops themselves are exhausted, they are still advancing meter by meter. The number of victims is huge, sometimes up to a thousand people per day. But Russian President Vladimir Putin still does not care about his soldiers. He wants conquest at any cost, — it is noted in the editorial material of the publication.
