Law enforcement officers will open a case over the explosion of grenades in a village council in the Zakarpattia region. The incident will be investigated as a terrorist act.

The National Police reported that investigators classified the incident under Part 1 of Article 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code.

In addition, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) submits information and will investigate the event in accordance with part 1 of Article 258 (terrorist act) of the Criminal Code, which is the responsibility of the SSU.

It is reported that the police are working at the scene.

What is known about the detonation of grenades in the village council in the Zakarpattia region

On 15 December, in the Zakarpattia region, a village councilor detonated grenades in the building of the Keretska village council during a session.

Currently, 26 people are known to have been injured, six of them in serious condition. It is also reported that doctors are resuscitating the man who detonated the grenades.

According to preliminary information, the grenades were thrown by Serhii Batryn, a member of the Keretsky village council from the Servant of the People party.
