The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Margus Tsahkna, believes that it was French leader Emmanuel Macron who managed to push Western leaders to increase support for Ukraine against the background of its war with Russia.
Macron found a way to help Ukraine
According to the Estonian diplomat, the unexpected statement of the French president about the potential possibility of the introduction of Western troops into Ukraine indicates that the West has finally finally realized the importance of Ukraine's victory in the war.
Margus Tsahkna also insists that the European Union "should start by fulfilling the promises already made".
Official Brussels has still not handed the promised million of ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
That is why the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia called on the EU "to be bolder and more ambitious."
Macron's statement that he may consider sending troops to Ukraine was a paradigm shift. It indicates that the importance of Ukraine's victory has reached Western policymakers who make decisions and are prepared to do more.

Haccurateeal is the possibility of introducing Western troops into Ukraine
Margus Tsahkna officially confirmed that, as of today, Kyiv's partners have not been able to reach a consensus on the issue of sending troops to Ukraine.
Despite this, the diplomat believes that Macron's statement may still change the attitude of some countries to immediate military assistance to Ukraine, as it would undoubtedly be an easier solution than direct intervention."
It is important to note that the principle that ammunition should only come from the European defence industry has been cancelled. It's good that we are discussing different options, and our priority is to deliver ammunition to Ukraine as quickly as possible, obtaining them from wherever possible, the diplomat emphasised.
