France to supply 250K combat drones for the Ukrainian military in 2024

France to provide 250,000 combat drones for AFU

By the end of 2024, France will supply 250,000 combat drones for the Ukrainian military. The drones will have artificial intelligence and fragmentation explosive devices for strikes in certain areas.

What is known about the transfer of drones from France to AFU?

It notes that drones will have fragmented explosive devices and artificial intelligence. They are autonomous, finding and identifying targets and producing an aerial detonation.

Ukrainian military personnel must be equipped with active RFID tokens. The drone will have a coordinate limiter where it can be activated. The RFID token will perform the functions of a recognition system "friend or foe".

Currently, the combat use of such drones is anti-personnel, but they are expected to be scaled up to attack armoured vehicles.

At the same time, the French are already practising the actions of groups of drones in the form of a swarm, which will allow, when group targets are detected, to direct the necessary number of devices from the carrier platform or individually.

It is reported that tests of these drones are already taking place in the Zaporizhzhia region directly on the line of contact.

Macron announces a coalition to supply Ukraine with long-range missiles

French leader Emmanuel Macron officially announced the creation of a "coalition" of countries that will provide Ukraine with medium- and long-range missiles, as well as bombs.

The President of France emphasised during the official press conference, his country and other EU members decided "to create a coalition for deep strikes and, therefore, medium and long-range missiles and bombs."

In addition, Emmanuel Macron asked the Europeans to "produce more" to meet the needs of the Armed Forces at the front.

In the next ten days, we are going to make all these efforts, because we have interviewed many European and non-European countries that have ammunition, — said Emmanuel Macron.
