What is happening in different parts of the front
The General Staff of the Armed Forces provided operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 18:00 on 12/02/2024.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
During the day, 63 combat clashes took place.
In total, the enemy launched five missile strikes and 71 air strikes, firing 45 MLRS rockets at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
In Volyn and Polisia's directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy shelled about 20 settlements with artillery and mortars.
In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled an enemy attack in the area of the Tabaiivka settlement of the Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defences of our troops. About ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, our soldiers repelled an enemy attack in the area of Terny in the Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defences of our troops.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the defence forces repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Andriivka and Klishchiivka settlements of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical position.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 14 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka area and another four attacks in the Tonenke and Nevelske areas of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defence of our troops.
In the Mariinka direction, the defence forces continued to restrain the enemy in the areas of Heorgiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried 25 times to improve the tactical position.
In the direction of Novopavlivsk, our defenders repelled an enemy attack in the area south of Prechystivka in the Donetsk region.
In the direction of Zaporizhia, the defence forces repelled an enemy attack west of Novopokrovka of the Zaporizhia region.

The enemy carried out airstrikes in the Krupytsia, Krynky, and Beryslav settlements of the Kherson region. The enemy also shelled the areas of Lvove, Tyagynka, Ivanivka, and Krynky settlements of the Kherson region with rocket launchers.
New AFU's successes in the war against the Russian army
During the day, the defence forces' aviation struck 13 areas of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy's concentration. Ukraine's air defence destroyed six reconnaissance UAVs.
The units of the missile forces damaged one artillery piece of the enemy.
