According to estimates of European analysts in comments to the Bild publication, Russia will be able to continue the criminal war against Ukraine until 2027-2028.

What analysts say about Russia's ability to continue the war against Ukraine

And Ukraine will be able to hold out until this time only if we can replenish its material losses and ammunition stocks. This is a war of attrition. Until one of the parties finds a way to deal with powerful defense lines and drones, says Gustav Gressel, a military analyst at the European Council on International Relations.

At the same time, Ukraine's ambassador to Germany, Oleksiy Makeev, said in a comment to journalists of the publication that Kyiv is counting on strong support from Western partners.

We need three things: more ammunition, more modern weapons and more leadership! ... Modern German weapons have proven highly effective and help save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians. These are, in particular, anti-aircraft complexes, tanks and long-range weapons, - stressed Makeev.

According to the Ukrainian diplomat, it is Germany that should lead the efforts to provide the necessary assistance to Ukraine.

Makeev is sure that this would become a powerful example for other EU countries, which should understand that it is in their interests to help Ukraine win this war.

It is in their own interests to help Ukraine win this war for as long as necessary and by all available means, the ambassador noted.

How the Russian army is losing its military capabilities in the war against Ukraine

In the Forbes article , it is noted that the recent destruction by the Ukrainian military of the A-50U strategic reconnaissance aircraft of the occupation army of the Russian Federation left the Russian air defense and aviation partially "blind".

The authors of the material note that the destruction of these types of aircraft will make it much easier for the Ukrainian military to carry out strikes on strategic objects on the territory of the Russian Federation.

We don't know exactly how Ukrainian forces shot down one of the Russian Air Force's eight A-50U radar warning planes on Friday. But we know why. The Russians are blindsided and not allowed to control Ukrainian airspace, the authors of the publication emphasize.

The publication notes that with the help of A-50U long-range geolocation reconnaissance aircraft, the criminal army of the Russian Federation monitors the activity of Ukrainian aviation and promptly detects missiles and drones launched by Ukraine.

In particular, at the end of last year, the Ukrainian military managed to disable several key ground-based radars on the territory of occupied Crimea with UAV and missile attacks.

After that, the criminal army of the Russian Federation flew several A-50Us to the Crimea region to cover the sky.

In January of this year, the Armed Forces ambushed one such A-50 and Il-22 command post aircraft.

After the loss of one A-50 in January, the Russians have made some effort to protect the remaining such aircraft, keeping them away from the front and closer to their borders. But it turned out that the distance was not enough.

It is noted that there are probably no more than 7 A-50U aircraft left in Russia and several more that are currently in storage.

The authors of the material emphasize that in order to cover the entire front line of the criminal army of the Russian Federation, it is necessary to have at least 9 such aircraft at the same time.

In particular, three must be in the air, three must be replaced and three more must undergo maintenance at the same time.

That is, by shooting down two A-50s, as well as damaging one during a drone strike in Belarus last year, the Ukrainians actually destroyed the entire orbit of the A-50 and forced the Kremlin to decide in which region of the front the airborne radars will no longer cover, - the publication notes.

The publication notes that in any case, a gap is created in Russian radio intelligence, through which Ukraine can strike with missiles and drones.
