As noted in the department, in this way, the Russian Federation is trying to improve guidance in real time using cell towers to reduce dependence on satellite navigation.
In addition, British analysts suggest, this may be an attempt to weaken Ukrainian means of radio-electronic warfare.
The Russians are trying to make their drones more invisible
The spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Col Yuriy Ignat, notes that the Russian army has previously improved the UAVs it received from Iran, as well as those manufactured directly on the territory of the aggressor country, using composite materials for the reflective surface there.
Against this background, it is worth mentioning that on the night of November 25, the Russian invaders launched a record number of attack UAVs over Ukraine – 75 "Shaheds".
Ukrainian Air Defense forces managed to shoot down 74 of them.
