Russia's missile hit the village of Petropavlovka in the local Voronezh region. A strong explosion damaged a street.

Russians complain about explosion caused by their missile

A video of the eruption after the explosion and reports of the accident in Petropavlovka around 9 a.m., appeared online.

One of the local residents said in a video that the explosion destroyed an entire street. According to him, a missile had hit the village.

The Voronezh region of Russia borders Ukraine along the Luhansk region. Petropavlovka is located 150 kilometres from the border with Ukraine.

In Kyiv, 7 fires broke out in 6 districts: Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and Desnianskyi districts.

More than 130 people were evacuated from a high-rise building in the Solomenskiy district. About 20 people were rescued from the blocked premises by the emergency services. In total, more than 20 people were injured and one person died in the capital.

In Kyiv region, Boryspil, Bucha and Fastiv districts were affected. Two people died in the Fastiv district. 7 people were injured in Vyshneve.

Ukrenergo and regional power grids were damaged in Kyiv and the region. More than 250,000 homes are disconnected. There are no plans to use emergency outage schedules.

In Kharkiv, one person was killed and 41 injured in explosions in the city centre. Significant damage was caused to civilian infrastructure.
